Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C.
On our way moving back home we made a stop in D.C. to see my cousin Laura and her sweet family. They are pregnant again! Yay! I am finally getting pictures into a show for everyone (sorry). The day was perfect! And the weather could not have been nicer! Thanks Laura and Evan for showing us around your town! We had a blast and miss you often!
San Antonio...FINALLY
Try not to be suprised that my fabulous camera erased our pictures from D.C. with the Brownstein's and the San Antonio trip with the Fortenberry's, but it did. Russ recovered all of them for me, and I am just now showing them! I threw some of them into a slide show. Andy got the "wild" children a pool and they loved it! Thanks Andy!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Us! ....and B's results
Today is our 3 year anniversary. I can hardly believe we met 5 years ago and now have 2 babies. Wow, how time does soar by. Tonight, when we lay the kiddos down for bed, we are going out for dinner and a movie. Russ' parents are coming over to be here in case they need anything. I absolutely can't wait to have dinner and a movie date with him ALONE. Whatever will we talk about?
As for Miss B, we had her Cat Scan last Friday, and today we got the results. She has partial lambdoidal closure...which is actually not the coronal fissure (the one that is so prominent on her forehead). This one, the lambdoidal, is located by her ears. The neuro surgeon wants us to get a second opinion, but he thinks that for now there is no surgery to be done. He wants to watch the progression. He thought that the closing could be appropriate for her age. We will be looking for another opinion as soon as possible before we just stop care and wait.
Here is a silly picture of her laughing and cooing quite loudly! This was taken back in Boston, but I never posted it. She is such a character!

We make silly faces together
This was taken on Mother's Day as well. Wonder what they were thinking about???
This is my Tummy Time face: one second "I'm ok with it," next second "you better pick me up, or I'm going to make you a fun diaper, Mommy."
Our little guy...not so little anymore :(
Back-tracking to Mother's Day
My family drove two hours to see me for Mother's Day. This was really nice not to have to load all of the kiddos (and the many items it takes to survive anything with kids) and drive for hours AGAIN. I promised H & B that after the Boston/D.C. trip to La, and then La to San Santonio and back there would be no more traveling for days in a car seat with the accompany of diaper rash. I sacrificed the delicious Olive Garden lunch I had decided on weeks ago for the ever so popular Ray's Pege. I'm not a fan, but I ate it on Mother's Day because everyone else wanted it. I'm a good daughter :)
We played and played and then I cooked dinner for Mom. A similar dish I had made days before for Lyssa, but she preferred leftovers over my salmon. Silly lady decided to try salmon out for the first time since the Jeb Stuart house while I was there cooking for them. WE NOW KNOW THAT ALYSSA DOES NOT LIKE SALMON, DON'T TRY TO MAKE HER EAT IT. SHE WILL GIVE IT BACK. Thankfully, Mom ate her fish and I did not recieve me the double reject. harrison got the cutest fishing pole set, and he still loves it even e awhole week later :) and, baby B got some beautiful clothes she had to have and probably would not have survived life without them.
Here are some pictures I got from the day:

My tiny ladybug
I think it is a natural thing for a Mother to want a little girl of her own, and a father to have his son.
On January 1oth I got her. My perfect daughter. How could I ever be more fulfilled with joy? She is beautiful from each fuzzy blonde hair to the bottom of her little feet...and now she sick.
Every day since we have found this line has been one more day to be thankful for. My dear friend Shell recently told me how you are just so amazed at your child when they go through something like this, and believe me she would know. I see how different her and her husband are than many other couples; they have such a strong Christian relationship. She has been a great support for us right now.
There is no way to know your reaction to the challenges life brings. I never thought I could be this strong of a person, but I honestly believe that we go through things so that we can help someone else go through a similar situation when they need strength, like Shelley did for me.
Many old friends have called to comfort me and give me reassurance that she will be prayed for. That support really has been appreciated, and much needed. Thank you to everyone who has called or sent e-mails to check on Baby Bailynn. I will try my best to keep the blog updated. But, for now please just admire our precious Bailynn Kennedy, she has such a face full of Grace.

The Big, Long Move
Ok, so it has been so long since my last blogger log-in, that I actually almost forgot my password. Which actually could be stemming from all of the recently added stress.
We moved from the Northern Artic circle :) to the tip of the steamiest place on earth. Good gracious it is smokin hot here. I can't even seam to make it from the shower to the kitchen without a bottle of cold water and a tube top. Yes, I do complain about the weather almost every place we live, Well, except the perfect place, Cali. There is no way to complain except to say, "I sure do wish we could have crappy weather today. This beach scene gives me the blues." Anyway, enough dreaming, I'm back to reality...reality that is Northeast Louisiana, 120% humidity and a CHI iron working overtime. Does anyone actually know how many layers of deoderant it takes to survive this mess? Funky stuff.
Alot has happened in the last three weeks since I last posted. We packed up in Boston, and moved due south back home. It took us an extra day than we thought, but that is life with a 3 month and a one year old. We knew we wantedto stop over in D.C. and visit Laura and Evan and Audrey and new baby Brownstein (my cousins). They live about 25 minutes from Capitol Hill, so we spent one day sight seeing over there. I was in utter amazement while there. I felt like I was in the middle of an episode of 24, but thank goodness I wasn't...I didn't see Jack anywhere. We took almost 500 pictures, which all somehow deleted themselves from my camera, but i sure did enjoy taking them :)
We had a blast with my family and H loved playing with little Audrey. She is the only child he has ever really played with. They recently visited us in Boston and we got to see them play then. We are the proud first family members to see Miss A walking, and so cute her little legs are! She has a sweet & curious, yet cautious nature about her. They were funto watch together.
We finally made our way to our new home in North Monroe, and are still trying to settle in. I made a quick trip over to San Antonio to visit the Fortenberry's and had a great visit as well. The adorable pictures I took there were also on the camera card with the D.C. ones. Boo. (Russ is trying to recover them for me). Avery Dot is our new neice and she is so precious. I would love her nap schedule, which is pretty much after every meal she just sleeps until the next one. I'm soooo jealous of that. At least for just a few days anyway! Kinsey Anne and Harr-bear are the cutest cousins together! They showed each other all kinds of new tricks, like baby dolls and how to change diapers, and books and water hoses and swimming pool eticut. Oh, the stories we could share. Kinsey is Alyssa made over, to say the very least! Little Sass pot that one. And, oh so sweet! I think it all comes down to those curls, how can you ever punish the curls?
Sadly we had to leave and they had to move to Southwest Seattle. They arrived this weekend, safely.
Here is one of the 7 pictures I recovered so far...and all seven are of them on the couch. I still can't believe I caught them sitting down long enough to take a picture!
I love how Kinsey wears her slippers at 4 p.m. She is quite a little personality.
As for us, we are currently in the middle of remodeling our home. It is going to be fabulous once we finish, which seems like the tentative date is December 2013 :) Oh, how I wish I liked blue toilets, and then things would move along much faster.
All jokes aside, our lives have more than taken a sudden change. The day before we left Boston, we had our last Pediatrician appointments. H's went well as usual and the next day was baby Bailynn's turn to go in. I took her while Russ and H packed the remaining bxes. What we found out that day is still a shock for me to even type. She has been diagnosed with Craniosynostenosis. Basically, her skull sutures are overlapping and are prematurely fusing together. I explain it as a headband under her skin, from ear to ear. This will cause her brain to stop growing and her head to form an unusual shape. Surgery to open up the sutures to allow them to regrow correctly is the worse case option here. We have seen two Pediatricians and a Pediatric Neuro-surgeon all in the last week. She has to have a Cat scan done this next week to see the progression to know the next step. They have offered Children's Hospital in New Orleans to help us. Now we are just waiting on the scan results. Our other issue is that we cannot receive insurance through Russ new job until three months, and Blue Cross will not accept her with this condition pre-existing. Blah, blah, it is a whole bunch of mess right now.
It is an understatement to say that I need a vacation :) I just need a nap!
Thankfully, tomorrow is Mother's day and I get to spend mine with family and try to not think about all of this for a few hours. My parents are coming over to see the babies. To share this special day with Mom is a blessing. We will have cake!!
I now know being a Mother fulfills something in your life no one can ever explain, you just have to live it. It is a challenging & selfless task, but such a rewarding one.
I'm a lucky woman...to be a daugther and a mother.
